Disabilities Programs

Wisconsin Elks Association State Major Project is the Wisconsin Elks/Easter Seals Respite Camp. Established in 1992, it provides trained-staff to care for children and adults ages 3 and over, with severe disabilities, who require care or supervision 24/7. It is the one program in Wisconsin that provides overnight, one-on-one care, and it accepts campers with severe and multiple-disabilities who are turned away by many other facilities. The Wisconsin Elks Association supports the camp through cash donations and volunteer support to provide the highest quality facilities for Wisconsin families. In addition, the state association and local lodges provide camperships that cover the costs of attending the camp. Learn more by contacting your local lodge or reach out to Easterseals Wisconsin.

Wisconsin Elks Lodges also form partnerships with local organizations to support people with disabilities, offer financial support and hold events that are inclusive and supportive. If you have a need or idea, contact a nearby lodge.
